The third edition of the Rugby Europe Super Cup begins this Saturday against Lusitanos.
The team has been training and working hard over the last couple of weeks at camp in Lisbon Portugal.
The last time the Tel Aviv Heat played Lusitanos was in the playoffs last season where the Heat came up on top in a thrilling encounter winning 30 - 22.
Head coach Kevin Musikanth says " I’m very excited about Super Cup season 3. It’s amazing to see how far the competition has come just look at Portugal and Georgia and Romania all in the World Cup."
We have good continuity in our squad with 80 percent returning players and some exciting new players that are sure to light up the competition. I’m very happy to be working with Demetri Catrakilis , Paul Day , Mike Poppmeier and Nimrod Kaplan.
We are in a very tough group but our goal has to be to be there at the end again this year."
